Navarre Pier: Construction May Begin in April!

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Do you miss the Navarre Pier? So do we! Fishing off of the pier delighted tourists and locals for years. But in 2004, the pier was severely damaged by Hurricane Ivan and then again by Hurricane Dennis in 2005. Fortunately, plans to build a new pier are slated to begin April 30, 2009. The new pier seems to be bigger and better- boasting width of 22 feet and length of 1,500 feet. The old pier was only 10 feet wide and 900 feet long. Construction should be completed in 12 to 16 months.  Click link to see the Proposed Pier Diagram

Beach Road to Open at Last!

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

We are happy to report that the road connecting Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach will reopen THIS WEEK- Tuesday March 3, 2009! The road proves to be one of the most scenic and beautiful roads in Northwest Florida. It transverses Santa Rosa County’s Gulf Islands National Seashore- miles of pristine, untouched beach. Visitors can enjoy a stroll or bike ride along the road as well. Completion of the road will also allow SCUBA divers to shore dive off the Pensacola Beach, Opal Beach, and Navarre Beach pier all in one day! The road was washed away by two hurricanes in the past. After two years, residents and vacationers are very excited about this much anticipated beach road completion.

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

If you were lucky enough to spend your Thanksgiving holiday on Navarre Beach you enjoyed beautiful weather.  Many families rented a Navarre Properties vacation rental and gathered together to give thanks for their many blessings.

Because our vacation rentals all feature complete kitchens with full sized appliances and all cooking items, families were able to prepare their Thanksgiving meal and enjoy all the comforts of home.  Cocodries (our Navarre Beach Restaurant) and Tuscan Grille (at Hidden Creek Golf Course) were open and served delicious food for those who prefer to dine out on Thanksgiving.

It was very gratifying to see families out and about on Navarre Beach.  Navarre Properties guests included travelers from California to New York City to London, England and all points in between.

The Summerwind Condominiums heated pool was a great place to relax and enjoy being together with family.  We hope more people will take a little time off this year and come down to Navarre Beach during the next few months and see how lovely this time of year can be on our beautiful beach.
