Holidays on Navarre Beach

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

If you were lucky enough to spend your Thanksgiving holiday on Navarre Beach you enjoyed beautiful weather.  Many families rented a Navarre Properties vacation rental and gathered together to give thanks for their many blessings.

Because our vacation rentals all feature complete kitchens with full sized appliances and all cooking items, families were able to prepare their Thanksgiving meal and enjoy all the comforts of home.  Cocodries (our Navarre Beach Restaurant) and Tuscan Grille (at Hidden Creek Golf Course) were open and served delicious food for those who prefer to dine out on Thanksgiving.

It was very gratifying to see families out and about on Navarre Beach.  Navarre Properties guests included travelers from California to New York City to London, England and all points in between.

The Summerwind Condominiums heated pool was a great place to relax and enjoy being together with family.  We hope more people will take a little time off this year and come down to Navarre Beach during the next few months and see how lovely this time of year can be on our beautiful beach.

The Zoo of Northwest Florida Navarre

Have you visited the Zoo of Northwest Florida while vacationing at Navarre Beach? If you have, you’ll know it’s a great little zoo that children of all ages will enjoy. You may not know, however, that the zoo is in desperate need of contributions from the community to continue its operations next year and in the future. The Zoo of Northwest Florida, which is run by a non-profit organization known as the Gulf Coast Zoological Society, suffered damage and loss of tourism revenue as a result of hurricanes Dennis and Ivan. These losses have placed a great financial burden on the zoo. To continue operations and prevent the relocation or closing of the zoo, the zoo is trying to raise 1 million dollars by the New Year. With over half of this goal reached, please help us continue to support the zoo and keep it open for future visitors. Donations can be made by contacting the zoo at 850-932-2229 or visiting their website at www.thezoonorthwestflorida.org. From now until the end of the year, guests of Navarre Properties will receive one free children’s ticket to the zoo upon check-in. If you haven’t been there yet, check out the zoo and tell them Navarre Properties sent you!
