Beach Road to Open at Last!

We are happy to report that the road connecting Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach will reopen THIS WEEK- Tuesday March 3, 2009! The road proves to be one of the most scenic and beautiful roads in Northwest Florida. It transverses Santa Rosa County’s Gulf Islands National Seashore- miles of pristine, untouched beach. Visitors can enjoy a stroll or bike ride along the road as well. Completion of the road will also allow SCUBA divers to shore dive off the Pensacola Beach, Opal Beach, and Navarre Beach pier all in one day! The road was washed away by two hurricanes in the past. After two years, residents and vacationers are very excited about this much anticipated beach road completion.

How fabulous that the road is open at last! This is great news for all the visitors and natives alike. For vacationers just discovering Navarre Beach a slow ride along this stretch of the island is an absolute must! It’s beauty never ceases to delight….shame it will be a while before I get to see it again.
